Queensland CHAPTER
The Queensland Chapter identifies and responds to issues that stand to impact the profession and our members.
We deliver a variety of activities aligned with the Institute’s strategic plan, including mentorship programs for student members and a program of Chapter awards and prizes. We liaise with local and state bodies as well as authorities to promote and represent the interests of our members and the community.
The Queensland Chapter acknowledges the Yuggera and Turrbal peoples as the traditional owners of the site on which our office stands. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging.

The Dunbar Fellowship enables a Queensland member to undertake a program of study and/or research in Asia and/or the islands of the South Pacific Ocean and assist the Dunbar Fellow in further academic qualification, leading to the presentation of a public lecture, and at least one paper of excellence of a standard equivalent to acceptance in a refereed journal.
The Philip Y Bisset Planning (Architecture) Scholarship enable final year students to undertake a course of study, research, or other proposed activity approved by the Selection Panel to “study architecture overseas with particular emphasis on the planning and design of buildings”.
Our members who have been elevated to Life Fellow and Fellow within the Queensland chapter, as well as associated events are highlighted.
