2024 Gold Coast and Northern Rivers Regional Awards Commended Projects and Event Photos

The Queensland Chapter had their fourth 2024 Regional Awards event on Friday, 24 May 2024.

The Gold Coast and Northern Rivers Regional Architecture Awards were held at QT Hotel in Surfers Paradise on Friday, 24 May. Entries included submissions into 11 different categories, a variety of entries throughout the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers region. A variety of projects were named award winners and commendations were given across the categories.

Award winners:

• The Warehouses by J.AR Office, Philip Follent Award for Building of the Year
• Tallawwood Cabin by Fouché Architects, Regional Project of the Year
• The Grove by Jamison Architects, House of the Year
• The Island House by BDA Architecture for Ken Newton and Brian Mossop People’s Choice Award

Commended projects in Gold Coast and Northern Rivers this year are:

• Currumbin State School OSHC by Resonance d+a
• onesurf residence by blueprint architects
• PALA Residence by Studio Snell
• The Island House by BDA Architecture 

All commended projects in the series of regional awards progress to Queensland State Awards consideration. The shortlist is judged by the Queensland State Awards Jury.
