SWT Blythe Student Prize 2024

The SWT Blythe Student Prize is awarded annually to a student for a piece of work produced in the preceding academic year from the University of Tasmania’s Architecture & Built Environments courses.

Eligibility: The Prize is open to students who have been enrolled at any level of the Master of Architecture / Bachelor of Architecture & Built Environments courses at the University of Tasmanian during 2023.

Prize value: There is a cash prize of $600, payable to the Prize recipient.

Closing date: Entries close Monday 22 April 2024, at 5 pm.

Presentation: The Prize will be announced and presented at the annual Tasmanian Architecture Awards presentation event to be held on Saturday, 29 June 2024.

Submission requirements

  1. Submission material should be in its original format as submitted to the University of Tasmania for assessment, in digital format, and be fully explanatory.
  2. Submissions shall include the original project brief.
  3. Up to 10 individual images are required to accompany the submission (which should be drawn from the original project), which can include plans, elevations, photos of models, renders etc, suitable for publication on the Institute website, social media, and awards bulletin. These should be submitted as jpg files only.

By submitting an entry for this Prize, you agree to abide by the rules and conditions. Late entries will not be accepted and the decision of the jury is final. You declare that you are the student who carried out the work submitted (or are an authorised member of the group who carried out the work).

Should your submission to the Prize be related to your income generating work, you may be liable for tax on the value of the Prize, if you are its recipient. Please obtain your own tax advice.
