Victorian social and affordable housing Prize

The Victorian Social and Affordable Housing Prize is awarded annually to an individual, practice, company or organisation that has shown exceptional leadership in advancing social and affordable housing in Victoria. Open to both members of the Australian Institute of Architects and non-architect contributors, the prize recognises those making a significant impact through innovative design, advocacy or delivery of housing that supports equity, access and community well-being. It highlights best practice across the sector and aims to raise awareness of the importance of high-quality, affordable housing solutions throughout the state. The prize also contributes to the Victorian Chapter’s broader policy and advocacy goals in this critical area. The jury comprises the Victorian State President or a nominee of the Chapter, an expert in social and affordable housing nominated by the Chapter, and the previous year’s prize winner. In its first year, a juror will instead be nominated by the Chair of the Institute’s Housing Delivery Working Group.
