This event takes place in conjunction with the 2023 Union of International Architects Congress in Copenhagen. The Institute wishes to recognise the Union of International Architects for their key role in the realisation of the Sydney Opera House and their continued leadership and advocacy of design competitions as powerful vehicles for the delivery of important buildings throughout the world.
The winners of the Australian Institute of Architects 2023 International Chapter Awards will be announced as part of the evening’s program, along with the ceremonial handover of the Institute’s Presidential Chain to National President Stuart Tanner, which was first presented to the Institute in March 1965 by Jørn Utzon.
