VALE Mubasshar Hussain
It is with great sadness that we inform the membership of the passing of the immediate past president of the Institute of Architects Bangladesh, Ar. Mubasshar Hussain.
The Institute fully appreciated and recently awarded an honorary membership for the incredible contribution Mubasshar made to the profession, particularly his work as the President of the Institute of Architects Bangladesh for five terms, as well as having served as President of the Commonwealth Association of Architects (CAA) and as Chairman of the Architects Regional Council of Asia (ARCASIA).
Mubasshar was a thoughtful, sensitive and accomplished architect who was broadly recognised for his services to architecture, philanthropy and the public interest. The legacy he leaves behind offers inspiration and challenge to anyone who aspires to emulate him. He will be deeply missed by many across the profession.
