SA Chapter President, Kirstie Coultas

As we step into 2026, I’m pleased to introduce the South Australian Chapter Council for the year ahead, and to thank all members who nominated to contribute to the Chapter’s leadership and governance. I’m grateful to those who put their hands up—your willingness to volunteer your time, insight and expertise is vital to the strength of our Chapter and our profession.

Chapter Council plays an important role in supporting the Institute’s strategic direction in South Australia. It helps inform local advocacy in alignment with national policy, provides strategic and advisory guidance to the Chapter and National Council, and represents the views of members across different segments of the profession—including students, emerging architects, and experienced practitioners across a range of practice areas. Most importantly, Chapter Council helps us stay connected to members and responsive to the priorities of our community.

The 2026 SA Chapter Council consists of the following members:

  • Kirstie Coultas – RPS Consulting (Chair)
  • Adam Hannon – Cox Architecture
  • Anthony Coupe – Mulloway Studio
  • Simon Frost – Greenway
  • Jo Evans – JPE Design Studio
  • Alex Hall – Woods Bagot
  • Yaara Plaves – REGEN Committee Chair
  • Ben Pitman – Studio Nine Architects
  • Jasmine Placentino – PARABOLICA
  • James Martin – Skein
  • Bronwyn Marshall – Marshall Studio
  • Erin Crowden – Proske
  • Tayla Scholefield – JPE Design Studio (EmAGN)
  • Jaela Manning – Adelaide University (SONA)

I would also like to sincerely acknowledge and thank our outgoing Chapter Councillors for their valuable contribution, leadership, and commitment to the Institute and our members: Dino Vrynios, Chris Morley, Mladen Zujic, Nicole Wilksch, Victoria Clarkson, Zorawar Basur, Lauren Clatworthy, Breeze Matthew, and Sienna Dichiera. Your service has strengthened our Chapter and supported the work we do on behalf of the profession in South Australia.

Chapter Council members commence their terms in February 2026, and I look forward to working with this group in the year ahead to support members, strengthen our advocacy, and continue building a connected and engaged architectural community across South Australia.
