Our sold-out Breakfast celebrated the pride, joy and power that comes with being “just a girl?” We witnessed a genuine and inspiring session in truth telling about the barriers, biases and double standards shaping the careers of women and gender-diverse professionals in architecture and across the built environment.
The panel generously shared their personal successes and challenges in their diverse careers and gave sage advice. Many laughs and sobering statistics challenged the room to actively imbed in their workplaces the culture and conditions that we want as women in architecture and for the women in our lives and communities; knowing this will benefit us all.
