Fred Ward named Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects

The Australian Institute of Architects Fellowships are given to members who have demonstrated a significant contribution to the architecture profession beyond architecture practice. It is our pleasure to announce that Fred Ward has been named a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects.

Fred is a founding director of 1+2 Architecture, with over 25 years of local, national and international experience. His strengths lie in directing complex and demanding design processes and working closely with clients and contractors to achieve optimum outcomes. His experience has provided the skills to design and co-ordinate multifaceted projects, often within demanding budget and time constraints.

Fred graduated with Honours from University of Tasmania in 1992, was registered while working in Victoria in 1998 and went on to practise in London on projects across Europe and the USA before returning to his home state in the early 2000s.

Fred is an active member of the Tasmanian Chapter of the Institute, has been an invited final year tutor and examiner at University of Tasmania School of Architecture and has been a multiple time jury member in the Australian Institute of Architects awards program.

Congratulations, Fred.
