Federal Election Platform – Member survey

Share your views ahead of the next federal election

As members would be aware, the next federal election is due to be held in 2022.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison is expected to call the election anytime from March onwards, with the latest possible date being 21 May 2022.

Consequently, the Institute is currently developing a pre-election platform on behalf of members, and we are seeking your input.

The pre-election platform sets out the priorities for the profession going forward. It summarises our key asks – the policies, programs and other initiatives we would like to see put in place to deliver better outcomes for architects, our clients and our communities.

We use this document to brief government, the opposition and the crossbench as part of our pre- and post-election advocacy program.

To inform the drafting of the platform, and ensure it captures the views and experiences of our large and diverse member base, we have put together a short survey for members to complete.

The survey seeks your views on a wide range of issues, from integrity and trust in government, to the need for more ambitious action on climate change.

The survey is short and to the point. We ask you to please spare five minutes in coming weeks to have your say, in-confidence, about the issues that are most important to you and your work.

If you have any queries regarding the survey or the platform, please contact the policy team on policy@architecture.com.au

The survey will close on Friday 21 January 2022.

Thank you for your support.
