Lumen – Alumni in Action

Please take time over the coming fortnight to view the exhibition (and enjoy Lumen Bar), University of Adelaide, during Illuminate Adelaide (Goodman Lawn). 5pm–11pm, 15–31 July.

The exhibition celebrates contemporary, award-winning projects that contribute to place-making in the City of Adelaide.

The featured projects have been awarded by the Australian Institute of Architects, the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) and other civic institutions since 2015. Each completed project is the result of multidisciplinary design collaboration. SABE is proud of our alumni’s leadership on, or significant contributions to, these projects. The vibrant spaces enrich the public realm, enable community outreach, and provide welcoming places for gathering, celebration, spectacle and commemoration in Adelaide’s beating heart. We also acknowledge our alumni’s myriad contributions in the corporate sector, as well as residential, health, legal and educational facilities, that fall outside this exhibition’s scope.

This exhibition is curated by Associate Professor Katharine Bartsch with Meherzad Shroff (PhD candidate and alumnus), and Master of Architecture students Leena Kuerban and Bea Maramba, of SABE, in collaboration with Ross Ganf, Director, Cultural and Campus Events, University of Adelaide, and Village Gate, Creative Project Solutions. Special thanks go to Nicolette Di Lernia (alumna), Executive Director SA Chapter of the Institute and Sally Bolton (alumna), AILA SA Chapter Manager, who provided invaluable support for this project.

Kind regards,

Katharine Bartsch
