A Message from Victorian President, Stephanie Bullock

Last night, we came together at the State Library of Victoria to celebrate the remarkable individuals whose leadership, service and creative contribution continue to shape our profession. The annual Honours event is one of the most meaningful moments in our calendar, and represents an occasion to reflect on the value of lifelong contribution and the many ways architects influence the communities we serve.

While we’ll be profiling the 2025 award winners in more detail over the coming weeks,  including the President’s Prize, the Emerging Architect Prize, the Gender Equity and Diversity Prize, the Regional Practice Prize and the Enabling Architecture Prize, today I want to acknowledge the Fellows and Life Fellows whose elevation recognises a sustained and significant contribution to the profession.

Fellowship is not only an honour bestowed by peers – it is also a marker of the responsibility we each hold to champion the role of architecture in public life, to mentor the next generation, and to advocate for a more inclusive, sustainable and courageous profession.

This year, we were delighted to welcome the following members to Fellowship:

2025 Fellows
Judy Arndt
Jocelyn Chiew
Aimee Goodwin
Jefa Greenaway
Linda Kwok
Sandy Law
Graham Morrison
Rebecca Naughtin
Toby Reed
Victoria Reeves
Kirby Roper

We also conferred Life Fellowship on five esteemed members: Richard Leonard, Amy Muir, Professor Nigel Bertram, Dr Lucinda McLean and Dr Marika Neustupny, whose collective contribution to practice, education, advocacy and design leadership has had a profound and enduring impact on the profession both in Victoria and nationally.

My warmest congratulations to all this year’s Honours recipients. Your advocacy, insight and generosity strengthen our profession, and inspires us all.

Stephanie Bullock
