Highlights from the 2025 President’s Honours Dinner

On Friday, 21 February 2025, the Queensland Chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects hosted the prestigious President’s Honours Dinner at Brisbane’s historic Customs House. This annual event is a testament to the dedication of architects in advancing the built environment, upholding ethical practice, and fostering a strong professional community.

The evening marked a historic moment as outgoing President Russell Hall LFRAIA formally passed the chain of office to the newly appointed Queensland President, Caroline Stalker FRAIA. This ceremonial handover signifies a new chapter in leadership, ensuring the continued growth and success of the profession in Queensland.

Throughout the evening, distinguished architects were recognised for their achievements.

Life Fellowship recipients

The highest honour, elevation to Life Fellowship, was awarded to:

BOAQ Prize recipients

Awarded to the graduate nominated by each of the four Queensland Universities which offer an architecture program that is accredited by the BOAQ and the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia (AACA) for the purpose of eligibility for registration as an architect.:
