Through ambitious architecture and experimental engineering, Viridi reaches beyond the conventional multi residential brief to deliver true innovation.
Viridi is clad in approximately 15,000 tiles: the first and only building of its class to make such extensive use of roof tile, nation-wide. This novel outcome required inventive, purpose-built solutions at every stage, following years of collaboration with a network of expert building consultants. The result is a structurally and code compliant roof cladding system: lighter than alternative materials, easily made and supplied. Plus Architeture has created an affordable, replicable façade system with broad industry applications.
A verdant addition to its Prahran streetscape, Viridi connects with parklands to expand and enhance the public realm. Green in operation too, the building’s numerous ESD features minimise environmental impact. Comprising 43 apartments in varied sizes and configurations, Viridi successfully meets a need for housing density in the City of Stonnington.
In May of 2022 we completed one of our most distinctive and thought-provoking projects: Viridi, designed by Plus Architecture. Delivering a destination that reimagined office space, residential living and retail has been an enriching experience that allowed us to push standard architectural limitations, as well as move away from typical design trends.
