The UNSW Health Translation Hub (UNSW HTH) redefines health education by uniting learning, research, industry, and clinical practice within a single vertical campus. Purpose designed for contemporary pedagogies, the building integrates interprofessional learning environments, flexible teaching spaces, clinical simulation suites, and informal collaboration zones that support UNSW’s model of team-based, practice-ready education.
Positioned between the UNSW Kensington Campus and Sydney Children’s Hospital, UNSW HTH strengthens academic-clinical partnerships through direct physical links and shared programmatic connections. Its calm, noninstitutional interiors and consistent design language provide welcoming, legible environments that enhance student wellbeing and support diverse learning modes.
A generous civic ground plane and publicly accessible social, exhibition and café spaces foster engagement between students, clinicians, researchers, and the broader community. Developed through deep interdisciplinary collaboration and a rigorous Design with Country process, UNSW HTH delivers adaptable, future-focused educational infrastructure that accelerates translational learning and prepares the next generation of health professionals.
The UNSW Health Translation Hub realises our shared vision to redefine the future of health by creating a place that is open, welcoming and deeply human. Departing from the clinical sterility typical of health & life science buildings, its warm materiality, quality craftsmanship and iconic form offer an uplifting experience for all who enter. The UNSW HTH brings together researchers, clinicians, and industry partners in a setting designed for collaboration and innovation, representing the culmination of decades of commitment across the Randwick Health & Innovation Precinct to deliver a world‑class environment that transforms how we work, connect and advance health.
