The Harrington occupies a prominent corner at Prospect and Pulsford Roads, transforming three allotments into a landmark mixed-use development. The design responds to Prospect’s high street through a continuous four-storey masonry street wall, punctuated by a central recessed entry that frames communal gardens and mediates between public and private realms.
Above, a fifth level is set back to reduce bulk and present a lighter architectural layer, with the central recess continuing to reduce the massing and reinforce a fine-grain urban language. Materiality references the area's history, with sculpted pale white masonry forming the building mass, & charcoal steel and aluminium details.
The 54 apartments adopt plan shape to maximise natural light, ventilation, and outlook, with communal terraces on every level. Ground-floor cafés and retail are integrated with widened footpaths and a landscaped plaza, prioritising amenity, activation, and long-term civic contribution.
