Rotondo Dental commissioned a prosthodontic centre of excellence within a diminutive floor space. Hosted by its internationally renowned principal, the state-of-the-art facility houses a bespoke implant production facility, dental surgery and educational centre.

Reinvention of the dental facility typology was made through the employment of warm finishes that generated a caring and professional atmosphere critical for patient comfort and staff workplace enjoyment.

A central mirrored spine visually expands the narrow space and reflects the exposed brickwork and detailed timber lining. Services were carefully organised in a limited space to reinforce and orientate wayfinding, while maintaining clear heights. Limited natural daylight was allocated to staff working areas, with controlled lighting used in treatment areas.

Adjacent the education centre the reception and waiting area doubles as a breakout space for catering of guests between lectures, with acoustic curtains providing flexibility to close or open components depending on the requirements of the day.
