Rhodes Central Stage 02 is a major milestone in the long-term urban transformation of the Rhodes peninsula, strengthening SJB’s two-decade vision for a connected and community driven town centre. Building on Stage 01 and setting the foundation for Stage 03, it brings together new housing, civic infrastructure and expanded public realm in a highly accessible location beside Rhodes Station. At the heart of the precinct is the Rhodes Recreation Centre, a significant piece of social infrastructure delivered through close collaboration between council, developer and architect.
Through its mix of housing, civic infrastructure and public realm, the project delivers the foundations of a connected, inclusive and future-focused community. Families aren’t just moving into Rhodes, they are staying, upgrading apartments and embracing multi-generational living. That longevity, combined with cultural diversity, is evidence of a community that is maturing as well as growing.
