The transformative addition of three new buildings at the Oakhill College Hilltop Precinct establishes a renewed heart for the campus, prioritising clarity of movement, transparency and community. Together, the Innovation Hub for STEM, the Canteen as a revitalised social hub, and The Commons as the school’s public interface form a cohesive ensemble informed by the site’s heritage and landscape. The design acknowledges outdoor spaces as essential components of learning and gathering, and by strengthening connections to outdoor environments, delivers more adaptable, student-centred realms that foster community and support contemporary pedagogies.
The redevelopment of the Commons, Innovation Hub and Canteen has transformed the Oakhill campus into a more connected, modern, and vibrant environment that celebrates the College’s heritage and future. The design strengthens the heart of the school, creating cohesive contemporary buildings that maintain Oakhill’s 90-year history as Lasallians.
This redevelopment has delivered improved teaching, gathering and presentation spaces, expanded outdoor learning opportunities and a renewed sense of identity. It is a forward-looking project that elevates the College’s environment while remaining deeply respectful of its heritage.
