St Leonards based practice Team2 Architects have created a stunning new home for themselves including 400m2 of studio space with a stunning break out space, two beautifully appointed meeting rooms, a materials library and self-contained bathrooms. A north facing balcony runs the full length of the studio filling the space with natural light, enhanced by fully-automated circadian rhythm LED lighting. A lightwell to the rear of the space supplies natural light deep inside the studio and the opportunity to allow natural cross ventilation throughout.
A critical element of the brief was the desire to create a post-covid, healthy and healing environment. As well as the passive environmental control, interior finishes were critical to achieving a sustainable, tranquil and calming atmosphere. Light oak floors run through the entire studio, complimented by stunning timber joinery elements, and combined with the natural white walls and ceilings create a luxurious and calming ambience.
