Located on Kaurna Land, Latteria is a contemporary take on traditional Milanese Latterias. More than just a venue, it serves as a gathering place for work and leisure, a nostalgic meeting spot where the community can feel at home, blending past and present in a welcoming space.
With a focus on locale, the brief was to create a multifunctional space inspired by traditional Latterias, blending bar, diner, and deli into a stylish community hub. Situated in a residential neighbourhood, the design captures a community food and beverage offering with a warm, nostalgic touch.
Music is a core part of the philosophy and offering. The island bar, complete with powder-blue back bar, and custom, integrated speaker system creates a visual divide of the expansive interior and underpins the clear separation of the bar and lounge areas.
Latteria is an excellent example of contemporary hospitality with nostalgic charm.
Latteria is a hospitality venue where the clientele comes for more than just the edible offerings; they come to be transported to a sumptuous Milanese inspired realm. Studio Gram’s design outcome is the perfect pairing of astute spatial planning and layer upon layer of colour and texture. Latteria’s ability to transition from day to night is seamless and its contribution to the activation of Hutt Street is laudable.
The incredible team at Studio-Gram masterfully transformed two retail shopfronts into one of Adelaide’s most iconic hospitality venues. Their outstanding design vision not only met but far exceeded our expectations. Every detail of the space has been carefully considered, with finishes, and expert guidance the result is an outcome beyond what we had imagined.
The result is an environment that balances aesthetic appeal with functionality, greatly enhancing both staff morale and public reception. Since opening, guests have been mesmerised and we’ve been overwhelmed by customer’s positive feedback, we couldn’t be happier. A heartfelt thank you to the Studio-Gram team.
