Tridente Boyce has been working with Kicco since 2012, rolling out specialty outlets for their customers to enjoy locally roasted coffee and speciality products crafted in SA. To help the expansion of the franchise Tridente Boyce, in conjunction with Simon Cecere, created an all-encompassing style guide and kit of parts.
As an extension of the Kicco brand development, Tridente Boyce was requested to create an exemplar specialty outlet for customers to enjoy Kicco products.
Centred in the middle of a dated shopping centre, on a tired terrazzo floor the bold brass form successfully draws one’s eye and attention to the integrated brass “Kicco” signage.
Reinforcing the corporate palette of black, gold [pantone 130] and metallic brass a restrained palette has been used. This simple combination of a black steel plinth, a weathered natural brass mesh bench with feature etched brass panels is very much in keeping with the strong branding.
Kicco Marion represents an exemplary approach to shopping centre kiosk design, demonstrating the power of materiality and attention to detail in creating a memorable and functional space. The kiosk has successfully maximised the limited space available to respond to a complex hospitality brief. Kicco’s distinct brand identity is amplified through the bold use of brass. This dominant material, combined with elegant detailing, ensures that the kiosk provides maximum impact to command attention within this bustling space.
