Hall & Wilcox's new Newcastle office is a sophisticated and flexible workplace that draws inspiration from the city’s unique character. As a leading national law firm, Hall & Wilcox embraced a neighbourhood-based working model that supports hybrid work, fosters collaboration, and offers adaptability for the future.
The design reflects Newcastle’s industrial heritage and coastal beauty through a refined palette, contrasting darker tones in client areas with lighter, more relaxed back-of-house spaces. The result is professional and sophisticated whilst also being warm and welcoming.
Functionality and flexibility underpin the fitout, with quiet rooms, private pods, multi-sized meeting spaces, and a boardroom that can open up completely to the reception, creating a generous event area. A large, light-filled staff hub strengthens workplace culture and interaction. Targeting a 5 Star Green Star rating and WELL Gold certification, the workplace prioritises sustainability, wellbeing, and durability while setting a new benchmark for professional workplaces.
ARCH took the time to meet with us and listen to what we value in our workspace. The large open office workspace enables us to collaborate with team members, and the well-designed quiet rooms with a soft colour palette provide a space to focus. Our boardroom and reception area provide us with an exceptional multipurpose space that enables us to facilitate meetings, employee training, and host client events of various sizes. Our breakout area is spacious with stunning views out to Nobby’s Beach, providing us with the opportunity to recharge and connect with colleagues in a relaxing environment.
