Gibney redefines seaside dining in Perth with a one-of-a-kind alfresco fine dining experience. Drawing inspiration from classic California country clubs, high-end Parisian hotel lobbies, the maximalist movement, and old-world grandeur, the design strikes a perfect balance between opulence and approachability.
Eschewing typical coastal clichés, the concept integrates rich textures and bold design choices to create a gracious and welcoming atmosphere. With a panoramic oceanfront setting, Gibney blurs the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces, delivering a dining experience as visually captivating as it is immersive.
The design is anchored by three core principles: Locality, Theatre, and a touch of Voyeurism. These elements combine to evoke a sense of drama and discovery, inviting guests to savour the beauty of their surroundings while indulging in an elevated culinary journey. Gibney represents a benchmark in hospitality design, celebrating both its coastal context and timeless refinement.
Rezen embraced the Gibney design brief wholeheartedly and the journey was seamless. They understood the vision and added an enormous amount of value to it with a unique sense of creativity. The result is a very special hospitality space that reflects the restaurant’s personality perfectly.
The most common feedback from guests is that they’ve been transported overseas when dining at Gibney and that the venue is at an international level. Much of this is due to the tone that is set by the interior design confirming that Rezen not only met the brief, they exceeded it.
