Exeter House is a 3 bedroom residence and separate guest house, set in a rural farming location with adjoining truffiere. The design is a modern interpretation of a traditional farm house using traditional materials with modern minimal detailing.
Of paramount importance as we approached our early 70’s was comfort, easy maintenance with maximum utilization of space as well as flexibility to accommodate influx of family and friends on our small hobby farm. The design of this house achieves this in every way. The aspect and excellent insulation allow the need for heating and cooling to be kept to a minimum even in the cool Southern Highlands climate. Importantly, the design enables us to enjoy the garden and beautiful surrounding countryside from every room, and the space created promotes a feeling of peace and wellbeing.
