Media summary

This project sees Six terrace houses on a combined site that was two suburban lots. The concept is based on the terrace-house model in the Low-rise Housing Diversity Code. It enabled more floor area and number of dwellings than a D.A. Four have a large bedroom/home-office space on the ground floor, providing a fifth bedroom, allowing inter-generational living on small parcels of land in an urban location, close to public transport and amenities. This intensifies land-use and allows more people to live in place for longer, fostering neighbourhood and providing  public benefit . It's located on a corner fronting a busy urban road with 2-3 storey development and public transport. The built form reflects the local scale while the envelope is defined by the LRHD code. The client wanted the best R.O.I. and the code yielded generous accommodation which attracted many buyers for two that were sold, the rest are rental.
