The highly crafted interior at Corrs Chambers Westgarth reflects a timeless, innovative and immersive experience for staff and clients. Inspired a strong sense of place, the workplace is sensitively integrated into the Quay Quarter Tower, offering some of the most iconic, uninterrupted views of Sydney Harbour.
Occupying four purpose-built floors, the design approach challenged standards for an A-grade base build. The result provides solutions that are more sustainable and accommodates a variety of work settings and amenities.
A diversity of uses were created that embrace the existing column grid and scale of the base building. Maximising occupation of areas with natural light and considering how work floors are illuminated led to a lighting strategy that responds to circadian rhythms, creating an atmosphere beneficial to staff wellbeing.
The vernacular of materials enhances the connection with the surrounding environment, while collaborations with local and designers give the space a uniquely Australian feel.
The move to our new workplace at QQT reflects our firm’s evolution and supports the intentional growth of our Sydney office. It was purposefully designed to support our flexible, collaborative work culture. We were delighted to work with Bates Smart to create a workplace that meets the needs of our people, our clients and our guests, and positions the firm for the future.
