The new senior school building transforms the senior campus into a vibrant heart of community and wellbeing, guided by the school’s Mind for Life philosophy and Strategy 2031. Inspired by a river metaphor, its spaces support “tidal” patterns of gathering, exploration, and regrouping, anchored by a light‑filled Learning Living Room, atrium and a series of perches that make learning visible and social for all. A welcoming, transparent ground floor and landscaped terraces extend education into nature, creating a benchmark for wellbeing‑centred education environments. The five‑storey form is softened through curves, setbacks, and warm brick tones that respect neighbourhood context while unifying the campus. Supporting 950 students and 50 staff, the building integrates adaptable learning precincts, STEM hubs, and a 350‑person multipurpose venue. Delivered within an $83.4M budget and targeting 6 Star Green Star and WELL Gold, the project blends technical excellence, sustainability, and inclusive design to elevate everyday student experience.

The senior school building positively shapes how students learn and teachers teach, yielding positive social and academic outcomes since its opening. Flexible breakout spaces support collaboration, discussion and personalised learning, enabling staff to work closely with students in various settings. Abundant natural light and outward views create an engaging environment supporting wellbeing and focus. Thoughtful circulation means that, despite large student numbers, spaces remain calm and orderly, reinforcing a strong culture of learning. House culture is important and the dedicated areas foster connection, belonging and pastoral care. Dedicated meeting rooms provide settings that enable effective independent study and academic growth.
