Media summary

The new bureau^proberts headquarters at Level 14, 100 Creek Street, Brisbane, reflects the practice’s commitment to design, collaboration, and connection to place. The fit-out reinterprets the building’s 1970s modernist character with a contemporary spatial language, creating an egalitarian open-plan workspace that supports creativity and well-being. A gallery-like layout of meeting pods and work zones fosters interaction and flexibility, while full-height glazing maximises natural light and city views. The design embraces the building’s raw concrete surfaces, paired with simple materials and suspended greenery for a calming, timeless aesthetic. Thoughtful spatial planning balances focused work with collaborative opportunities, accommodating a growing 60-strong team. This minimalist, cost-effective fit-out enhances workplace functionality while maintaining architectural integrity, positioning the office as a contemporary, adaptable space for the next chapter of bureau^proberts’ 30+ year legacy.

The design of our new headquarters enhances the way we work by fostering collaboration, flexibility, and well-being. The open-plan layout encourages communication and teamwork, while the gallery-like arrangement of spaces allows for a balance between focused work and creative interaction. Natural light and views of the city improve both productivity and well-being, while the calming monochromatic palette and green elements support creativity. The flexible design accommodates our growing team and evolving needs, creating a workspace that reflects our core values of adaptability, sustainability, and innovation, and ultimately enhancing how we enjoy our work, and interact as a practice.
