Media summary

Mancel College in Fig Tree Pocket provides a holistic educational environment for children and young people with disability – for whom language is their primary disorder – from prep to Year 12.
This landmark project, initiated by a comprehensive campus redevelopment, was envisioned by Giarola Architects in collaboration with Language Disorder Australia, and it represents a pioneering stride in educational architecture for students with Language Disorder.

The design team invested a considerable amount of time engaging with key people – including educational and allied health teams – to fully understand the differentiators that make Mancel College not only unique but successful in its program delivery. From the beginning, they showed deep respect for the needs of curriculum, extra-curriculum, co-curricular and therapist staff on this project.
This took an exceptional team involving all parties and stakeholders who were aligned in their vision to delivery exceptional outcomes for our students; now and for generations to come.
