The Avenir, a high-rise residential development in central Singapore, anchors two high-rise towers within a sculpturesque design and landscape that responds to the city’s Garden City vision and tropical climate. The two towers are rooted in distinctive architectural landscape, with sculptural columns, blades and cantilevers creating a dramatic play of form, light and shadows at the lower level. At the upper level, this architectural expressionism disappears as the bare towers take their places in the dense high rise skyline of Singapore.
As the developer and representative of The Avenir project, I am delighted to support this application to the 2025 AIA International Chapter Award high-rise residential category.
This project, designed by studioMilou Singapore and ADDP LLP, was delivered on time and within budget according to a Recovery Plan during the Covid-19 pandemic, complying with Singapore’s Green Mark requirements.
As the developer, we were drawn to the unified composition and classical yet organic design; towers appear to emerge from the garden.
Today, 376 apartmets are sold and occupied.
The design process inspired confidence through the rendering, in minute detail, all project aspects.Client perspective
