Media summary

Completed in September 2024, Aurecon’s 3-storey Perth workplace spans 3,000 sqm on Hay Street, setting a global benchmark of workplace excellence for the company. Designed by Woods Bagot, the fit out blends high-tech innovation with natural warmth, creating a sustainable, human-centered space that fosters well-being and connection.

The design offers a variety of work settings, from focus zones and collaborative spaces to meeting areas, ensuring flexibility and adaptability. Public artwork group, Little Rhino contributed bespoke pieces throughout, celebrating cultural heritage and enhancing the sense of community.

Sustainability was central to the design, with reused materials, retained structures, and biophilic principles reducing environmental impact. Features such as the Level 5 balcony trellis and a wintergarden integrate nature into the workplace, promoting ecological harmony and well-being.

A highly collaborative design and delivery process between Woods Bagot and Renascent has resulted in an inviting and dynamic environment where Aurecon’s people can thrive.

“The revitalisation of our Perth office exceeds our expectations, embodying our values of sustainability, cultural connection, and employee well-being. Woods Bagot’s strategic reuse and adaptation of existing elements were cleverly combined with new enhancements, aligning, and reinforcing our organisation’s acknowledgement to indigenous culture and dedication to sustainability in the workplace. This project redefines for the better how our team connects and collaborates, creating a vibrant community where our employees genuinely want to be. Our space inspires creativity, energises people, increasing the desire to be in our workplace which was a fundamental goal for the new fitout.”
