Designed by ARM, for ARM, the new studio is both highly functional and a clear embodiment of ARM’s culture, creativity and progressive design ethos. Atop the former MLC Building (1973), the fitout transforms a post-war modernist tower into a vibrant, flexible environment supporting focused work, collaboration, interaction, and knowledge sharing.
Organised around a half-donut floorplate with panoramic city views, the design prioritises staff wellbeing and productivity. Alongside naturally lit, height-adjustable workstations are focus rooms, collaborative lounges, a materials workshop, and library. Central spaces host events, lectures, and community engagement; flexible meeting and presentation spaces enable client interaction and creative exploration.
Sustainability guided material selection, including refurbished and second-hand furniture and recycled finishes. Bold colour and subtle graphics energise the workspace. Feature columns, with 3D designs developed with AI, express ARM’s ongoing exploration of technology and inventive approaches. The studio exemplifies a user-focused, innovative workplace  that celebrates design, culture, and collaboration.
