Media summary

Architectus’ Brisbane studio unites teams from two previous locations into a single, collaborative workplace that embodies sub-tropical design and sustainability innovation. Located in Harry Seidler’s landmark Riverside Centre, the light-filled studio honours the building’s original architecture with a restrained, “bones-first” approach, enriched by natural materials, indoor planting and uninterrupted river views. The fitout acts as a living lab for circular design, showcasing next-generation materials such as Australia’s first bamboo demountable partition system, free from glues and silicones and fully recyclable. A partnership with Project Net Zero enabled a 94% diversion rate from landfill during the move, while independent measurement by Slattery confirmed more than 15,495 kgCO2-e in embodied carbon savings compared to a business-as-usual fitout. Designed as a flexible, hybrid-ready studio, the space seamlessly supports focused work, collaboration, events and community engagement, reinforcing Architectus’ commitment to climate-responsive, people-centred design excellence.

Architectus’ new studio gathers one practice beneath a single canopy, distilling a unified brand into a finely tuned, highly adaptable interior landscape. From the first espresso at the barista hub to the vibrancy of all-hands forums and the generosity of evening client events, the space stretches and contracts with daily rituals. A calibrated hierarchy of settings supports the full spectrum of sensitivities and work modes, from focused retreat to open, project-based collaboration. Here, pin-up walls, projections, models and digital canvases keep design visibly in motion, inviting clients into a warm, purposeful design practice and an architecture culture in full view.
