Designed by ThomsonAdsett, Airds Seniors Living redefines seniors living by placing ageing in place and community at the heart of its design. Guided by a conceptual framework that unites landscape, domestic architecture, and shared space, the development integrates residents’ needs with its surroundings. Curved, articulated buildings rise above landscaped green spaces, reducing bulk while creating visual connections across the site. Shaded terraces, gardens, and communal pathways encourage interaction and engagement, while upper-level apartments capture natural light, ventilation, and expansive views, fostering wellbeing. Materials reinterpret Sydney’s domestic vernacular in a contemporary, durable, and considered form. The project exemplifies a highly coordinated, value-driven design process, developed in collaboration with Homes NSW, ensuring architectural quality, environmental performance, and social benefit are embedded from the outset. Airds Seniors Living demonstrates how thoughtful, context-driven design can support independence, nurture community, setting a new benchmark for seniors housing in New South Wales.

“This development is a meaningful step in providing dignified, safe, and connected homes for seniors. Seeing residents move into spaces that genuinely support independence, social connection, and comfort reminds us why quality design matters. It allows our team to deliver housing that meets real needs, not just requirements, and strengthens the way we operate as a public housing provider. Projects like Airds Seniors Living show that careful planning and design directly improve people’s everyday lives and give our community confidence that seniors can live well, safely, and with dignity.”
