Rooted in the honest archetypes of local industry, this project celebrates construction heritage through striking brickwork, glass, steel, and timber. The bold orange steel “wickets” framing the primary façade are a testament to Ahrens’ steelwork pedigree, showcasing impeccable craftsmanship. Collaborating closely during the detailed design phase, Ahrens’ team ensured flawless finishes with seamless joints and invisible connection plates.

At the heart of the design is the steel-framed “black box,” a striking cube that projects over the central driveway, drawing visitors into Ahrens’ primary meeting space. Its dark form and commanding scale give it a sense of weight, while its seemingly floating position between adjacent structures introduces a sense of lightness. This balance between industrial robustness and architectural elegance highlights the skill and precision of the design and construction teams, delivering a space that embodies both the heritage and innovation of Ahrens’ legacy.
