205 North Quay heralds a new era of commercial office tower design in Brisbane, setting a new benchmark for occupant health and wellbeing, community connection, and climate responsive design. Designed by Hassell   REX  Richards & Spence, and developed by Cbus Property, the tower draws inspiration from the traditional Queensland shade house: featuring abundant greenery, shaded outdoor terraces and a naturally ventilated plaza. It’s one of the first commercial towers in Australia to offer a holistic work-life approach through flexible, wellness-focused workspace, and a dedicated wellness floor with outdoor 25-metre pool, gym, and premium end-of-trip amenities. The plaza and podium welcome occupants and the wider community with a civic-scaled auditorium, retail and dining options. Positioned to achieve net zero operations through 100% renewable electricity, and high-performance design, 205 North Quay is a blueprint for how commercial tower architecture can foster vibrant, healthy and connected urban life suited to Brisbane’s subtropical climate.
205 North Quay redefines the office experience as a people-first workplace designed to enhance health, connection and performance. Conceived by Cbus Property as a holistic wellbeing ecosystem, the tower integrates outdoor terraces on every level, natural light and biophilic design to support focus, collaboration and flexible working. Brisbane’s first whole-floor wellness facility, including a 25-metre pool, and an open-air public plaza, foster social interaction while strengthening the building’s connection to the riverfront and city. The result is a highly sustainable, amenity-rich precinct, with curated retail and dining experiences further establishing it as a destination for business and the wider community.
