In this session, media and marketing expert Rachael Bernstone shows you how to get a helicopter view of what’s delivering results in your practice, using analytics and metrics from the platforms you’re currently using. She recommends the most effective platforms and channels for architects, and how to use them to build connection and engagement with future clients.
Once you have a helicopter view of what’s working (and what’s not!) – based on your own data and results – you can finetune your marketing activities on the most effective channels and platforms, to attract more of the kind of projects you’d like to work on. Rachael uses a Marketing Metrics spreadsheet to track her progress.
Rachael Bernstone is a journalist, communications advisor to architects and an advocate for good design. She works with practice directors and principal architects to help them develop a comms strategy that’s focussed on winning new projects and communicating the value of architecture.
With a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from RMIT, and a Masters in Architecture History and Theory from UNSW, Rachael helps to demystify architecture for general audiences. And, as an advocate for good design, she was awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 2003 to study sustainable and affordable housing in four countries.
Rachael founded Sounds Like Design in 2016 as a communications consultancy for architects and contributes to architecture and design publications including HOUSES, Artichoke, Habitus, Indesign, Sanctuary, Architectural Design, Inside and Australian House & Garden.
