Victorian Regional PRACTICE Prize

The Victorian Regional Practice Prize is an annual prize open to all regionally based members, working as either sole practitioners or in a practice with their head office located in regional Victoria.

The purpose of the prize is to:

i) recognise and celebrate the substantial and enduring contributions by regionally based members to the profession, the Institute and regional Victoria; and

ii) promote and draw attention across the Institute to the work of our regional members as well as within the communities in which they operate; and

iii) facilitate greater engagement within regional Victoria from the Chapter and Institute.

NOTE

For the purposes of the prize, regional Victoria will be defined as the area outside the official Urban Growth Boundary or areas more than 50 km from the General Post Office in Melbourne.

***The prize is not project-specific and operates separately from the Victorian Architecture Awards.

ANNOUNCEMENT, PROMOTION AND PUBLICATION

The Prize will be announced at the Victorian Chapter end-of-year event. The Victorian chapter will promote the prize, projects, and winners through various mediums—such as the Victorian Chapter Instagram, e-news, and Institute Website.

JUDGING PANEL

The jury may include the Victorian State President or a Victorian Chapter nominee, the previous year’s winner of the prize (or an additional juror nominated by the Chapter in the first year).
