International Chapter Architecture Awards

Since 1930, we’ve recognised the expertise of Australian architects around the World.  This year we celebrate our 90th year anniversary of supporting Australian architects and our premier architecture awards program continues to champion our members’ achievements and innovations, inspiring the public and highlighting the best of our industry.  Our International Awards event, to be held in Italy in May 2020, celebrates exemplar outcomes at international levels across all building typologies. This rigorous, peer-reviewed program offers you incredible exposure – powerful opportunities to attract new clients and connect with your global peers.

Partners in change

Drive the agenda for the future of the profession and be heard by participating in key events that provide opportunities to shape the conversation in public and professional arenas.  You can also join global committees that inform our strategic direction and policy agendas, covering areas including international practice, sustainability and design.

Our committees also provide valuable input to our programs and activities. Together, we’re stronger and can advance the profession and the greater community. Advocacy is a key focus for the Institute, ensuring the respected voice of the architecture profession is heard. We raise the profession’s public profile and awareness by championing issues of international importance.

Global career development and CPD opportunities

Our members have access to career development opportunities: from local CPD seminars to international conferences. Need to know about zero emissions housing in South Africa?  Or looking to understand the role of best practice design to achieve social sustainability inclusion in cities like London and New York? We offer discounted access to an extensive range of online and face-to-face opportunities. Connect with peers and colleagues from around the world at our flagship conference, attend the International Architecture Biennale in Venice, or visit the Dubai 2020 Expo and be inspired about the practice of architecture and the future of the profession.
