Educational architecture
Surrounded by volcanoes and old temples, Binus University in Malang is inspired by the spirit of the land and the ancient world. Different shapes and materials allude to different eras, the more traditional stone closer to the ground, while aluminum and glass higher up look to the future. The composition of grass and matured trees on the roofs mimics the surrounding hills and new temples of learning in modern east Javanese culture.
