Ross Lindsay MacDonald (1945-2020), FRAIA, passed away in July.
He was educated in South Australia where he graduated in Architecture from Adelaide University. In the 1960s he worked in the Adelaide studio of Hassell & McConnell, alongside David Colin Hassell (son of Frank Colin Hassell 1910-2007) including coordinating staff, specifications and programming production for the Adelaide Festival Centre Drama Centre and Associated Works (Space Theatre, Amphitheatre and Associated Plaza). David Walker was the design architect.
Thereafter Ross worked for Hassell in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane from c.1980 as a Senior Architect. He was associated with Trackstar and projects for the RAAF at Amberley. He was Fellow of the Institute, acknowledged for his work on contracts. Ross retired in 2011.
