Sunshine Coast Residents Offered Free Consultations with Architects at Open House Event

Thinking about building a new home or renovating an existing one, but not sure where to start?

Ask an Architect, hosted by the Australian Institute of Architects (Queensland Chapter) as part of Sunshine Coast Open House, provides a great opportunity to connect with architects and discuss your project ideas.

If you’re considering a climate-appropriate renovation, need guidance on a half-finished DIY project, or want to better understand the client–architect relationship, this event offers a chance to ask questions and explore possibilities.

Anna Svensdotter, Queensland Executive Director, Australian Institute of Architects, encouraged Queenslanders to book a free mini-consultation with an architect at the Ask an Architect event.

“We are offering 30-minute consultations with Queensland architects from the Sunshine Coast. With a focus on climate-smart strategies and sustainability, our architects will be available to assist with questions related to renovations or building projects,”

“We invite registered participants to bring along photos, plans, or even DIY disaster stories to get the creative process started.”, she said.

Architects participating in the event include:

  • Kelly Martin, Kelly Martin Architecture
  • Max Brammer, Brammer Architects
  • Thomas O’Shea, Thomas O’Shea Architects
  • Ian Dimond, Dimmond Architects
  • Andy Keeffe, Maytree Studio
  • Rodger Todd, Roger Todd Architect
  • Oskar Booth, Tim Ditchfield Architects
