National Residential Sustainability Advisory Group new member EOI

The National Residential Sustainability Advisory Group (NRSAG) is the Institute’s national member-based group that advises and participates in industry engagement within external NatHERS, ABCB, MECLA and REEDI working groups.

After a successful year in 2023, the NRSAG is seeking new members to join and participate in the following:

  • Replacement Proxy member for the NatHERS Stakeholder Consultative Group as Proxy to support the current Representative from the group.
  • Replacement Proxy member for the ABCB Residential Energy Efficiency Working Group to support the current Representative from the group.
  • New chair for the NRSAG full meetings nominated or self-nominated from the members of the group – new members need to apply and be approved before nomination for the chair
  • New members with general or technical residential experience across ratings software, compliance methods, building resilience frameworks and construction methods. Members with a keen interest in advocacy and education, will sit in one of the following Institute collaboration bi-monthly co-ops to increase coordination and communication depending on their expertise:
    • AU 2050 Carbon Co-op
    • AU 2050 Resilient Homes Co-op
    • AU 2050 Quantify Co-op
    • AU 2050 Live life Co-op (Pending mid-late 2024)
    • AU 2050 Biodiverse Places Co-op (Pending mid-late 2024)

All members will attend a bi-monthly full NRSAG meeting whereby we’ll do a quick snapshot of areas discussed in the Co-ops and industry forums, any further advocacy, education and policy points that the membership needs to pursue.

The Co-ops will drive industry advocacy points directly through the new Climate Action webpage where the Institute is increasing chatter to support the decarbonisation journey. Their conversations and ideas will be summarised and populated on the new webpage by the Institute representative supporting the Co-op’s, following a brief confirmation with participating industry bodies.

To register your details, complete our EOI form by Monday, 8 April 2024.

The Terms of Reference will be provided upon application.

Priority will be given to those existing advisory groups and Co-ops with departing members.
