Who we are

The Emerging Architects and Graduate Network (EmAGN) is a membership demographic of the Australian Institute of Architects. EmAGN represents members who are within 15 years of graduating with an accredited qualification in Architecture (Master of Architecture or equivalent).
 

Our vision

To create an engaged and supportive community of emerging architects and graduates, championing good architecture for the benefit of all.
 

Our purpose

To advocate for the interests of emerging architectural professionals, support their professional development, and engage with local communities.
 

Join the Newcastle EmAGN Committee

In 2026, the Newcastle EmAGN Committee is seeking new members from across regional NSW to join our dynamic team.
 
This is a fantastic opportunity to:
  • Connect with peers and industry leaders
  • Contribute to advocacy, education, and community engagement
  • Shape initiatives that support emerging architects and graduates in our region

The EOI is open to all Australian Institute of Architects members within the EmAGN demographic.

This is your opportunity to contribute, connect, and create change for the future of the architectural profession in NSW. 

We are especially keen to hear from those passionate about:

  • Education and mentoring,
  • Advocacy for emerging professionals,
  • Supporting parents in architecture.
