As we move into the heart of the year, the International Chapter Councillors have been actively working on refining our outreach and revisiting our purpose to better hear and serve our international members.
Our focus is clear: to support our diverse membership at all career stages; whether you’re just starting out, mid-career, or a seasoned professional, especially those navigating the complexities of working abroad or returning home with international experience and our international institutional partners.
- Students and EmAGN members transitioning from university to the workforce, whether embarking on an overseas journey or returning home after studying abroad, as well as our international students considering studying in Australia.
- Young professionals seeking overseas opportunities or reintegrating after time abroad.
- Established professionals looking to form meaningful local cohorts, access professional resources like Acumen, and strengthen ties within the Australian architectural community.
- Employers in Australia and abroad connect with talent, share opportunities, and leverage our regional networks.
- Strengthen our Prizes and expand our membership offerings by supporting a broader range of graduates and students during their transition years.
We are exploring ways to activate local member networks and build regional community hubs to support these goals. Our member-led WhatsApp groups have already started to connect architects regionally. Growing these networks organically is essential to creating a vibrant, self-sustaining community and a valuable member resource. We are proud to announce that the International Chapter Awards will be held on 12 July 2025 at the Australian Pavilion during the Osaka Expo 2025. This is a significant moment to celebrate the excellence of Australian architecture on the world stage, and we encourage all members to participate, whether by attending or spreading the word.
