Expression of Interest for Design Review Panel members

Are you passionate about making a positive contribution to Ballarat’s distinct character through the creation of high quality public places and wonderful buildings?

 

Are you an expert who can provide clear and constructive design review of complex projects?

 

The City of Ballarat is establishing a Design Review Panel to provide an efficient and consistent approach to delivering expert, independent design advice to decision‐makers, developers and designers to deliver high-quality built environment outcomes across Ballarat.

The Panel will assist Council in achieving this objective by offering robust design reviews of significant projects of varying scales, types and stages as part of a 12 month pilot program.

The City of Ballarat is recruiting a range of technical specialists to form a pool of panel members that can be drawn upon to conduct design review sessions.

Applications are sought from professionals with strong built environment experience in the fields of architecture, urban design, landscape architecture and planning.

In addition to these core disciplines, applications are welcomed from individuals with specialist experience in heritage, aboriginal cultural heritage, sustainability and environmental design, accessibility, transport planning and civil engineering.

An online briefing and Q&A will take place at 9.00am on Wednesday 29 September 2021.

Applications must include a CV with a cover letter outlining why you are interested in being a panel member and what relevant design review experience you have.
