The new development for St Vincent’s Care Services in Kew offers
26-bed Palliative Care Hospice and 135-bed Residential Aged Care Facility set immediately adjacent the Raheen Mansion within the splendid surrounds of Studley Park. The outlook across natural settings of Kew and to the city skyline are a sight to behold.
Designed with wellness in mind, the spaces and service offerings are focused on assisting residents to thrive by placing a great importance on their spirituality, wellbeing and comfort. Lifestyle and socialisation spaces, such as the library, cinema, gym, salon, private dining and cafe allow residents to meet, recreate, celebrate and share values.
“Smith + Tracey architects delivered beyond our expectations, the new Palliative Care facilities, including a new chapel and an outdoor area for First Nations smoking ceremonies, promote a sense of welcoming, calm and emotional safety, with access to space, fresh air, natural light and peaceful surroundings.
The attention to detail throughout the project by Smith + Tracey and the sensitivity shown for the needs of our patients has resulted in a wonderful built form with internal and external spaces that provides joy and pleasure for everyone. This redevelopment is especially important to SVHM as we wanted to continue to provide exemplary care.”
