The project redefines modern healthcare design with a striking twisted glazed form and a textured, greenery-draped podium.
Enhancing the public realm, the design introduces an active streetscape with a ground-level café, landscaped areas, and cascading greenery to improve the pedestrian experience. Off-street parking and end-of-trip facilities promote accessibility and ease congestion, while the retention of the site’s existing façade creates a seamless blend of historical and contemporary elements.
Navigating complex site constraints, the design maximizes efficiency through thoughtful spatial planning. The breezeblocks provide a textured form and enable open-air parking, reducing mechanical demands while adding visual interest. A focus on sustainability led to a 5-star Green Star rating, with durable, low-maintenance finishes ensuring long-term efficiency. Despite site limitations, the design successfully balances functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability, delivering a high-quality healthcare facility that enhances both the built environment and community well-being.
