New South Wales
Global architecture studio Woods Bagot has completed one of largest-ever office design projects in Australia in 2022 with 15 levels of integrated fitout at 6 Parramatta Square ‘6PSQ’ for NSW government. This large-scale project at 43,800 sqm connects to 33 floors of the adjoining tower at 4 Parramatta Square. The project has enabled the NSW Government to execute its ambitious hub workplace strategy at Parramatta despite the disruption caused by COVID-19 during the design and construction phases.
6PSQ is a future focused workplace that was designed to flexibly respond and adapt to changing tenant and user requirements.
This workplace is an evolution for the NSW government which supports a more agile and hybrid workforce, elevating the physical office in enabling culture and connection, across a campus type hub in a pivotal location in Sydney
6PSQ completes a significant revolution for the NSW Government workplace hubs vision delivering a workplace that is a destination, a desirable place to work.
Located in Sydney’s second CBD, Parramatta; 6PSQ successfully adapted to a changing world, designed during the pandemic and demonstrating in real time that well designed spaces are able to flexibly adapt to changing user requirements.
The strong sustainable design of 6PSQ reinforces the government’s approach to bring people together into hubs, creating efficiencies and reducing our environmental footprint, while creating quality and purposeful spaces that suit various work personas with a consistent and seamless user journey.
